awesome play food set! Jun 05, 2010 I bought this for my son for his second birthday, and he's played with it daily. He gets a little frusterated trying to work the knife to "cut" the veggies, but that is to be expected. I was pleasantly suprised with the quality, especially for the price. I think it is an awesome, durable, fun toy! The wok is heavy enough to withstand his abuse.
Love this May 21, 2010 My kids love this product. they love chopping the veggies and stirring up the food. It's great for their creative little minds. I recommend this for sure!
Sturdy and fun Apr 04, 2010 This is an awesome fake food toy. Durable, lovely and realistic. More interactive than most fake food toys...you can chop, cook and then eat with chop sticks...fun! Daughter LOVES it.
Chop, Stir Fry, Eat! Fun with Chinese Food Mar 31, 2010 This is a well-made, quality product. The bok choy, red pepper, and meat can be sliced apart with the wooden knife. The wok is smooth and perfectly sized for a toy. My only complaint is that they missed painting the entire shrimp (only the front and back) and they look like mandarin oranges. Also, the chopsticks have black velcro on the ends to help hold the food, but the only piece that can be picked up well is the middle beef piece because it has velcro on both sides. Oh well, other than that, the set should be fun for my son to learn how to cook Chinese food.
Good durable wooden toy Feb 11, 2010 The best thing about this toy is the velcro and wooden knife. Slicing through the pieces makes a very satisfying sound and a thunk at the end too. I bought this for my kids at Christmas and they are still playing with them. (As much can not be said for many of the plastic things they got.)Nice paint job that has not shown signs of wear. The velcro has not picked up a lot of lint and such from the house. Must say, I am a big fan of Melissa and Doug. I love that they are doing food that isn't traditional American now.
