Pricey, but high quality Jan 03, 2010 This baking set is a nice additon to a KidKraft kitchen our granddaughter got for Christmas last year. The wooden pieces are beautifully made and have a vintage look. The pastel colors are "girly", so might not be appreciated by budding male chefs. Considering many of the worlds great chefs are men, perhaps the colors should be more gender neutral. The cost is more than you will pay for most kids kitchenware, but these items are made from wood, and high quality. You get what you pay for!
not so fun Dec 30, 2009 The only thing my granddaughter likes is the tray with the cookies on it. Not so sure she knows what a mixer is. The beaters don't move so it's not too educational.
She won't walk away from it Nov 16, 2009 I work as a nanny and bought this set for the little girl I work with's 3rd birthday. Her parents got her the kitchen and I thought she would enjoy the baking set because she loves to help cook. She has played with it every day since receiving it and never wants to pick it up to play with other toys. Her little brother, who is 1, also loves to play with it. It is the most used gift she received. I love that she can use her imagination and the cookies/blueberry pancakes are very yummy- I've eaten lots of them!

A fun food toy mixer!! Jan 04, 2008 I am 5 years old and I think that this toy is really fun because I have a toy kitchen. It doesn't spin, or even have a switch to try and pretend to turn it on... But you CAN mix pretend dough with the utensils provided, and transfer the "dough" to the pie pan. 2 large cookies come with
the set, too.
This mixer is cool, also since the bowl is removable.
This set works best with a toy kitchen (Who likes cold and not cooked cookies??? YUCK!!!!!!!)
