Perfect!!!! Jul 27, 2010 I just bought this kitchen for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She loves it. I chose this one for the size. It is tall enough that she won't outgrow it too fast. She also has older brothers and it is big enough for them to play too. I highly recommend this. Like the other reviews said it does take some time (hour or so) to put together. I thought it rather easy just time consuming. I've had it about a week now and my kids play with it every day. So far seems to be very sturdy. =)
Lovely kitchen set Jul 12, 2010 I have been researching the latest and greatest play kitchens and decided I wanted a wooden one for stability. I love the colors of this set and after it was all set up, it was exactly what I expected and is absolutely adorable. I love the color scheme of it! My 17-month-old is tall for her age and can already reach a lot of the parts of it.
The packaging, however, left a lot to be desired. In the "dishwasher" compartment pieces, the track for the sliding plank arrived with 3 pieces of it chipped off. We were only able to find 2 of the pieces in the packaging and glued them on. This slightly affects the performance of sliding out the piece, but it wasn't a big enough deal for me to repackage and return it. The packing material is very cheap Styrofoam, the kind that disintegrates upon the slightest friction. Prepare for a colossal mess unpacking and setting up.
Overall, I thought it was a great value for the deal we got on Amazon and I really love the look of it. It will give our daughter years of play.
Great kitchen Jul 07, 2010 My 2 year old loves this kitchen! I love the colors. Assembly took about an hour and it is very sturdy. I really have no complaints. Everything works as it should. Plus, if any parts are missing, there is a number to call to get them delivered. Just excited to see how my daughter changes her play with this kitchen as she gets older!
Great kitchen Jul 04, 2010 Got this kitchen because was highly rated. My daughter loves it but putting it together was a big job taking me 2 hours straight. The oven door does not come downward but I can tell it's so kids won't break it easy. Overall it's a good sturdy wood kitchen made to last years instead of weeks.

Great Toy Kitchen! Jun 24, 2010 After deciding I wanted a kitchen for my son that was not plastic, I began looking around at the different options available. I was surprised at how many were very girly. I wanted something that he could use for many years and many of the cheaper ones were just too small. It was finally between this one and the Melissa and Doug one. They are practically the same in size and what they offer but this one was much cheaper. I built it by myself, with my 2.5 year old trying to help, in about 2 hours. The instructions are not the easiest to follow. There were a couple of steps where I had to really study the drawings to figure out exactly what they were telling me to do. I started with a hand screw driver but when I got to the final steps my hand and arm were just too tired and I used a small electric one.
My son is not the gentlest kid when it comes to playing and after a week there is nothing damaged. Judging from the quality, it would have to be played with really roughly for something to break. He has already figured out how to remove the shelves in the oven and dishwasher and likes hiding in there. Though it's not an air tight seal when the doors are closed, there are large, dollar coin sized, holes in the backings so that kids do not suffocate if they end up in there. Not needed but I thought it was an interesting feature.
My only complaint is that the refrigerator only has one shelf. I would have preferred two to help storing all the play food. The space between the bottom and the shelf and the shelf and the top is a little over a foot. Luckily, I had some wire locker shelves that fit perfectly in there and gives the extra needed storage.
