My toddler loves this! Feb 17, 2010 My 15 month old son has been playing with this on a daily basis. He loves pretending to cook something and brings it right over to us to test out. I can see that as he gets a bit taller he may outgrow it quickly, but his two older brothers who are 3 and 6 have also found a way to play with it too.
Great kitchen! Feb 01, 2010 My 19 month old daughter has been playing with this kitchen everyday since receiving it a couple of months ago. I love that it came with a bunch of food accessories to get you started. It is light-weight, so does slide around on my bamboo floors a bit. That could easily be fixed with some non-skid pads on the bottom of the kitchen. Or I could put it on a rug. So far, I have been very happy with this kitchen, and so has my daughter.
my daughter loves this kitchen Jan 23, 2010 I have a 2 year old and she loves this kitchen. I love it because it is not some giant plastic monstrosity and it is nice and tiny. Don't be fooled by the picture though because it is really tiny, look at some of the pictures that other people have submitted so you get a better idea size wise. Depending on my daughter and her interests I might upgrade to a larger wooden kitchen in the future, but it really is a perfect fit for us right now.
Great item for my toddler! Nov 05, 2009 This kitchen is really great! I love that its wood with no lacquer and non-toxic. Its sturdier than it seems when I was putting it together. Easy to assemble in about 30 minutes. So far my daughter loves putting things in a and taking them out, as well as playing that she's feeding us. It is rather light though, so she can push it around a bit, but we have hard wood floors, rubber on the feet will help. As for the age recommendation, I think that's way off. My girl is 1 1/2 years old and it fits her perfect right now. I think it will for the next year. Like some people say, at 3 y/o I think it may be too small. All in all, this a great safe product for the price, especially since it comes with the kitchen toys too. I really love it, and so does my little girl. : )

Surface rough and unfinished! Nov 01, 2009 This is a two-part review: 1. My granddaughter LOVES this kitchen and plays with it everytime she visits. Last time she made a "delicious cranberry treat" for our desert and served it in individual bowls. She proceeded to tell us exactly how she stirred it, turned the heat up or down as needed, let it steep, and decided when it was ready.
2. Me...When she was done 'cooking' her cranberry treat, the toy kitchen was stained with red juice and it was dirty (my dusting couldn't remove the dust because it clung to the rough surface). The problem was: The wood kitchen had not been sanded or sealed by the manufacturer. I'm all for educational toys and bought this kitchen based on it's "educational" value and the 'look' of it. I wrongly assumed that it was ready to use. The wood surfaces are very rough and collect everything from dust to food particles. Wiping it down with a damp cloth or sponge simply adds particles to the rough surface making it unsightly and unsafe. So, I bought some fine sandpaper and went to work for more than an hour. Now that it's passably smooth, I need a polyurathane sealer. I'm disabled and this is far more work than I bargained for when I bought this product. It's priced as a finished product, but it is certainly not that.
